The design of ArtCourt was created by the amazing team over at @blkboxlabs When I was first given the render, I knew it'd be a lot of math, mixing, and measuring but I also knew the end result would be unlike anything else in the region, or anywhere for that matter. Incredibly thankful to be trusted with such a precise and intricate design and I'm super glad to see the community's response so far.

#tbt this limited run painting I did last year of a @girocycling Switchblade mtb helmet. Made 8 hand cut stencils using 9 colors and destroyed the stencils after I made 5 paintings. Had them up for grabs on my stories for a day and held on to the last one for myself but last week I gifted it to my good friends @tiltgravity and @loukall who are starting a new chapter in Colorado this week. Wish you guys the best on your new journey. We'll come see you soon.

Stairwell side
The zigzag striping on the header in the background is now mostly covered with 2x8 stained wooden beams. I was fully aware of that walking onto the job, however, some of the math was different from what I was expecting. Namely the new ceiling height, which in turn wouldn't allow enough space for my original design on this side. Being on something of a tight deadline, I redesigned on the fly and went forward with one centered row of boxes instead of the 3 I had originally planned to do. Looking back on it now, I can't help but feel it needs just a bit more. I think I'll be going back to Ft. Smith soon to try to get the space closer to my original vision I had. Throw a 🤖 in the comments if you agree.
Elevator side
Those brackets on the wall now hold 2x6 wood "ribbing" that extends up the wall and across the ceiling, done right after I left. I haven't seen it all installed myself yet but I think it's going to be 🔥
Lovin' an elevator

Up until the wedding, this was probably my favorite picture of us, taken by @angiej_norman and family. They happened to stop by the park on their way back home to Omaha only because the bright colors drew them in (and Angie needed a place to skate for a minute.) We met and took each others pictures with her vintage Polaroid and I'm so grateful for it. This now stays on the dash of my car and it makes me smile every day. This park has been a great project and opportunity to be on but unfortunately we weren't able to finish up all the way and now the weather has forced me to call it off until it warms up more. Concrete stain is finicky like that. Rest assured we'll be back to finish as soon as the ground warms up some more. Lots of color left to throw down there but in the meantime, keep an eye on my stories for the next big new project we're starting this weekend. 👁

A couple of weeks later but I wanted to send out some thank yous to the helping hands that made our wedding as special as it was:
First, I cannot express how elated we are with the photos we've seen so far from our wedding. @laurapowersphoto is absolutely incredible, we’re so happy you were there to capture such a beautiful time.
To my brother-IN-LAW @eightfootrobot for creating the enormous moon we were married in front of, along with the clouds and bench. I’m so appreciative of your time and talent, it was the perfect piece for the ceremony and I’m sure the moon will show up in future family photos.
@abrooksdesigns for creating Laura's jumpsuit. For months I'd ask Laura how their meetings went and other than “I can't tell you anything” all I heard was “Alyssa’s the best. No worries” To say I was blown away is an understatement and I know how in love Laura is with the jumpsuit.
@tofutuz isn’t just an incredible stylist, she’s also an incredible friend to Laura and me. Thank you for all the things you did to help but I don’t know about because I’ve been so busy working. We love you so much.
@laura_bell_phillips we can’t thank you enough for performing such a sweet and personal ceremony and for us. We will always treasure the copy of our ceremony and vows you gave us. Thank you for the last minute additions and for spending time with me as I straightened my tie.
To @spahneric and @ashleymariedozier, I'm so grateful for meeting you guys on the trail, I can’t believe I ended up getting married in your backyard. We look forward to years of friendship and fun with you both, thank you for providing a beautiful space for our family.
Abby at @ozarkveggietable we’re so thankful to have you and your restaurant in our neighborhood and we look forward to more shared meals, disc golf, and Mario Kart battles in the future. Thank you for accommodating the vegans and making sure everyone had a warm glass of mulled wine. Every course was delicious and beautiful.
Finally, @justinebeech thank you for lending a helping hand at the drop of a hat and keeping everyone upbeat and laughing.
